DescriptionRussian Icon. The gold border consists of interlocking heart shapes with three punched holes in each one. The body of the panel consists of nine saints in two rows (five saints in front, and four behind) on a gold background with a finely punched design. The foremost saints (St. Dimitrius, St. Ikatius, St. Isaja, St. Leontius, St. Iakadius) are bishops, indicated by their omophorions. The outer saints also wear metropolitan crowns. Only the heads and shoulders are visible of the back row figures (St. Peter, St. Avramius, St. Isidor, St. Ma...).Collections
