DescriptionGreek. Surrounded by a dark brown/black border, the panel surface is divided into three sections. At the top is the realm of Heaven with crowds of angels and a green disk in the centre. Below this is the earthly realm where the annunciation to the shepherds takes place. The majority of the panel surface focuses on the nativity scene taking place within a jagged hillside. Mary and Joseph flank the Infant Jesus' cradle. Above them, a beam of light extends down from the green disk in heaven to a small radiating light, illuminating the cave.
