DescriptionGreek. An episode in Mary's life shortly after Christ's birth - his presentation at the temple (identified by the baldachin). And elderly man on the left holds two white doves (his hands are covered with a mantle as a sign of reverence). He is thought to be Zacharias accompanied by Elizabeth to his right. Christ is held high by a high priest whose hands are also covered by cloth. Christ's white garments are dotted with red inanticipation of his sacrifice.
