DescriptionFired clay hand-formed collared necked jug with a flaring rim, four vertical strap handles on shoulder, and a small flattened base. Burnished and unevenly fired to achieve a two-toned surface, black at neck and shoulder and red below (as cat. 5). Triple incised "V" shaped decoration on body with four raised nipples high on shoulder. Yortan culture of west-central Turkey, Late Early Bronze Age I-IIIa, early to mid 3rd millennium BC.Collections
