DescriptionFired clay mould-made figurine of a standing bull or water buffalo, hollow red clay body with whitish slip, pellet eyes and ears, mouth and nostrils indicated by incised lines. Horns broken off above ears, pronounced hump, backbone, and dewlap with short legs, tail curves over backbone. Alaca Huyuk, north-central Turkey, probably Hittite Period, Early to Late Bronze Age, ca 2000-1200 BC.Collections
