DescriptionFragment cut out of larger piece. Arched marble panel with scene carved in relief (concave) depicting of a standing female figure flanked by two horsemen. She is interpreted as a goddess and is draped in chiton and himation. The two flanking horsemen hold spears and wear military kilts and have flowing capes - thought to be the Dioskuroi, that is, Castor and Polydeuces (or Pollux), the twin sons of Leda and Zeus and the brothers of Helen of Troy. From Asia Minor and thought to be Antoinine or Severan period - AD 2nd to 3rd C.
