DescriptionSilver diadem decorated with repoussee design of a figure on horseback wearing a helmet and short chiton. Catalogue entry suggests the rider is female - an Amazon or Athena? - , horse gallops to the right. Standing female figures to either side of the rider, one on left holds spear or staff and wears long chiton folded around hips, also tentatively identified as Athena, other figure on right may be female but much damaged - possibly ? Aphrodite. On either side of these standing figures is a head or mask.Collections
