BiographyBorn in Winnipeg, Johnson came to Toronto in the mid-1970s to study at the New School of Art and the Ontario College of Art. Starting out as a figurative painter, she was one of the founding members of the influential collective ChromaZone gallery. She began painting landscapes in the late 1980s and returned to figurative work near the end of her life
