John Alexander Hall
Canadian, 1914 - 2002
At York Central Hospital Richmond Hill on Wednesday, December 25, 2002 at the age of 88 years. John Hall of King Township, beloved husband of Pauline and dear father of Susan Prieur of England, Jill and her husband John M. Skinner of Stratford, Rebecca Hall of Toronto and Jennifer and her husband Peter Alker of England. Proud granfather of Marc, Danielle, Jennifer, James, Allison, David and Lorraine. Great- grandfather of Luc, Kristin, Bronwyn, Meredith and Carys. Brother of Robert of Toronto and the late Philip. John will be sadly missed by Ann and Ezra Schabas and their family and Lorraine Fairley and her family. John was loved and admired as a teacher of Art both at the U of T School of Architecture and many Ontario summer schools. He was a life member of the Ontario Society of Artists, Art Gallery of Ontario and Honourary member of the Ontario Society of Architects. He illustrated many books, created murals in enamel on steel for several Public buildings and designed exhibitions for both commercial and museum venues. A memorial service will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 11 a.m. As a person who contracted Parkinson's Disease in his later years we request in lieu of flowers a contribution to the Parkinson's Foundation,
