Biography20 Dec 1994 - 22 Dec 2010; the artist lived across the street from the Penman family, it is very likely this work was gifted by the artist to Ms. Penman (BA and MA at UofT, then PhD at U. London, UK; served as Dean of Women at Victoria University at UofT) on the occasion of her marriage, circa 1958; remained in Ms. Penman’s collection until her death in 2010.
